Our Summer Travels
We'll be hanging out in Annapolis until the beginning of November. We're waiting out hurricane season here. In the meantime, we'll be completing boat jobs and visiting with family and friends!
Meet

Hello, everyone!
We are super excited to be setting out on the adventure of a lifetime, sailing the world!
Along the way, we will share about all the amazing people we meet and the places we visit.
We believe that everyone should take time to travel and see this great, big beautiful world!

We haven't been everywhere,
but it's on our list!
Dave and Diane
We also believe you don’t have to be rich to travel, it can be done on a low budget.
You don't have to be a super athlete, a beautiful influencer, or an adrenaline junkie either to have amazing adventures!

"Fill your life with adventures, not things. Have stories to tell, not stuff to show."
Thanks to an article in Cruising World by John Kretchmer, we stumbled upon the Corbin 39. And if the Legend, John Kretchmer, likes it then so do we!
ABOUT
Lagerhead

Check out our boat years before we bought it! Yep, we watched this and decided to fly to Nova Scotia and check her out. But she had a new engine put in between this video and us buying her.
We found our perfect 1988 Center Cockpit Corbin in Nova Scotia. The boat has already been around the world once from 2006-2010. In 2018, it went to Greenland and Baffin Bay in an attempt at the Northwest Passage (it iced in that year, watch this cool movie about one of the few boats to succeed).
Now before you tell us that boat is beat and all that travel isn't a good thing. Don't panic, she has all new rigging, a new mast, new engine, new sails, and Dave fixed her soft, delaminated core! And no, we didn't pay for all that. The new rigging, new mast, and new engine were part of her $39,000 price tag.
Although, she's technically called a "yacht" there’s just nothing pretentious about the old girl. No one is ever going to think “that couple has loads of money and think they're really cool, maybe I won’t talk to them.” Nope. Well, we are really cool but we don't have loads of money so please talk to us!

After we bought her, we had an awesome time sailing her from Chester, Nova Scotia down the coast of the US to NY City, then up the Hudson River and through the Erie Canal to Lake Ontario. We had a ragtag crew of salty seamen that made the trip extra fun.

We've been having a blast sailing her around Lake Ontario visiting ports in NY and Canada for the past 3 years. We are now sailing her down the St. Lawrence Seaway and out into the great big world!
